Abs and food.

Many have asked us about abs and love handles and how I was able to get some and lose some. Here’s my basic answer:

I was able to see changes through two basic things: 90% food and 10% exercise.

As with anything worthwhile, everything takes some thought and effort. A strong foundation in healthy eating and exercise are the keys for lasting body transformation. We often see diet and exercise programs that offer huge change in a short amount of time.
Rest assured that these don’t work in the long run.

Aiming for quick results often ends up leading people toward unhealthy choices because the change in the body is not fully internalized and incorporated into an overall way of believing, thinking, and doing.
Note the word believing! Change becomes possible when our limiting beliefs shift and our thinking becomes clarified.

So, what am I getting at?

If you want to see some changes this year, talk to us how we can work together on this. There are some basic things that you can do that can bring about positive outcomes. These things are simple: food, exercise, and letting go of mental patterns that don’t serve you any longer.

Want to try this? We hope so! Use the energy of the new year to get you moving and then with that momentum create a well thought out approach that will make 2016 the healthiest ever. We are here to work with you!

And now a glimpse into our world for those who are curious.
Here are a couple of things (not in any order) Maribel and I currently do everyday that we have found incredibly useful.

  • Weigh our food. (We feel a little like the character on Breaking Bad.)
  • Write down what we eat.
  • Pay attention to the macro nutrients.
  • Start the day with 15 minutes of meditation.
  • Look at the food we are about to eat and take a moment to thank God/Life for the meal.
  • Work out a couple times per week.
  • Get some yoga.
  • Practice smiling.
