Changing Perspectives

Sometimes we need a physical change in perspective to reset our habitual thinking. Many of our days are marked by basic routines. This is not such a bad thing, but these routines often put us on a spiritual, emotional, and mental autopilot that distances us from experiencing life fully.

Working with habitual thinking patterns, becoming mindful of them, is a lifelong practice. Most people seldom realize this and rarely notice and live their moments without noticing. Getting upside down literally and figuratively sometimes helps us re-experience the familiar, allowing us to realize the magnificence of our lives even as messy and painful as they may be right now. With care and intention, we can work with whatever is going on in our lives. The invitation is to look around, use what’s available, and keep turning to wonder.
