Hurricane Food and Stress

We stopped by Trader Joe’s this morning to prep for what looks like a very powerful storm. The cashier looked at us and said, “So many people are buying mostly chips and party food. They’re going to be hungry 30 minutes later.” He was right. Eating highly refined carbohydrates is the go to for most people under stress.

As you go about preparing your pantry for a possible couple of difficult days after the storm, think protein and fats. Skip the comfort food. Stay healthy and strong.

Wishing everyone a safe week ahead.
