A New Beginning

At different times in my life I’ve had to adjust to changes brought upon by unexpected situations in which I have not had control. Over 20 years ago, my parents, Carlos and I, with our children, decided to purchase a house and live together. The multigenerational living experience was beyond beautiful. We shared responsibilities and enjoyed each other’s company during dinner. It also allowed Carlos and me to go to the gym once our children were in bed and asleep. However, things changed when my dad became ill and was bed ridden in our home.

At that time, I was working full time, training at a gym, and teaching bootcamp at Continental Park twice a week. With my dad’s declining health, he needed more care from all of us since it was too much for my mom. It was then that I made two choices: I decided to stop training at the gym and cancel my bootcamp classes.

Two months later, I felt sluggish seeing myself not working out and not teaching bootcamp so Carlos and I decided to turn our garage into our own personal gym so that way we could still train and be at home to help with my dad. A few weeks afterwards, one bootcamp client reached out to me to see if I had started teaching again. I informed her that I transformed the garage into a gym and she asked if I could train her at the house.  With this began Miami Firm Body.

As we approach the second week of self-isolation, once again I see myself having to adjust to the changes brought upon by unexpected situations, the Covid-19 pandemic. We are living unforeseen times right now in which the days of our quarantine are unknown. Many of you were working on your own personal goals with me. I don’t see why that would have to stop during these challenging times. So I would like to offer you a few options for replacing the face-to-face personal training we were doing.

One option is an individualized at-home written program.  This program will be designed to continue to meet your individual needs and fitness goals. It will be tailored to your goals and needs, just like when you would come to train. For every workout you have, I will design a training session specifically to meet the goals you shared with me. You will receive  a Google document with the list of exercises, repetitions, comments and a space for you to fill in the details, meant to help you stay motivated by keeping accountable.

Another option are the virtual private sessions and virtual group sessions. Even though I would not be physically with you, I aim to bring as much value to each session as if I were physically in front of you. You will see me demonstrating the exercises as I watch you perform them with the correct form. I might not be able to give you a high five, but I will definitely give you an air high five. Your place and way of training might change, but your goals can stay the same.

The first class is free of charge.

Fees for subsequent classes are as following:

1 Hour – Private – $45

1 Hour – Group Up to 3 – $40

Bootcamp (Tuesday and Thursday from 5-6 PM) – Donation Based

I would really love to give this adventure a go. Please don’t hesitate and reach out to me for more details.
